An issue was discovered in rsn_supp/wpa.c in wpa_supplicant 2.0 through 2.6. under certain conditions, the integrity of eapol-key messages is not checked,... cve-2017-13088. I have tested the connection with wpa_supplicant 2.1 in ubuntu and it works but i don't want to change to it and prefer using arch (of course ) tomorrow i will publish the results of the journal when i try to connect with the last wpa_supplicant. During the arch install, i was able to connect via ethernet by editing the /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf file. i tried the same process when i rebooted into my system for the first time, only to find that wpa_supplicant was not installed..
